How To Access The Service Menu On Lg Tvs
Hi there, Big question. I have a 42LA660S EU LG Smart TV. The Image dissapeared so I've changed the Logic board EAX64797004 for a new one I bought from Ebay (Chinese seller). Now, this board is setup as Country Region 05 and I wan't to change this in order to have Netflix on NETCAST 4.0 The problem is that I can't change this value even gettin into INSTART or EZ-ADJUST.
Do you know any other way to get ccess to this field to change it to 02 (USA) and area 1793 (US FRIENDLY AREA)? Many thanks in advanced!!! Yes same here its quite risky that's why I felt It would be better to buy a Bluetooth transmitter rather messing up with the service menu which I might regret later. These stupid restrictions are so annoying. On their product page no where do they mention that the TV's Bluetooth will only work with Samsung and LG products only. This is a gimmick by LG just so people who buy their TV should get their or Samsung's audio devices as they both show collateral being from the same country.
Which is in a way super imposing their choice onto customers. Well lets hope a firmware update fixes our issues in the future. Vix i really appreciate your reply, well actually i was just wondering if it works at all. I know manufactures are all about restrictions.
And it sucks. I tired to turn on PIP mode as i have my digital surveillance connected to the tv. Its pain in the ass to switch between inputs whenever i need check the cameras. The menu to which is unchangeable (greyed out). I read a post of a guy changing the tv's model opens up those unchangeable settings like THX,local dimming pip etc.
Its a bit risky because i dont know what to expect if i do so. Iv been able to enter into the service menu on my LG tv and I can see the BT option as well but unfortunately I could not find Bluetooth restriction on or off option. I know its there somewhere but I could not find it. The BT option just has some values that can be changed like random numbering from 1 toll I guess 10 or something but it does nothing. With my previous Samsung TV it was very easy I just went into the Samsung TV service menu and turned off the restriction and it worked with any Bluetooth headset.
But with LG I could not find an easy way to turn the restriction off. Perhaps if some one more knowing is reading this can help us. I eventually ended up buying a Chinese Bluetooth receiver and transmitter from ebay which works great and it actually directly connects to the TV Funny. But still my LG tv refuses to connect the my sony SBH54 Bluetooth headset. So as of no the Bluetooth transmitter works great.
But yet I want my TV to have open Bluetooth when it has one. So as of now the problem is virtually unsolved. Here is the link to the transmitter if you are interested. It can make any TV having an audio out jack to transmit audio to any Bluetooth headset.
As of now this is the only solution.www.ebay.com/itm/Bluetooth-4-1-Transmitter-Receiver-Digital-Optical-TOSLINK-SPDIF-RCA-AUX-Adapter/91?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649.
