New user here. In a nutshell I bought a ION Discover DJ.used. at the local 'consignment' store, It lights up but I have no software CD or Serial for a CD.

Not going to Lie!! It didn't come with any software or manual etc. I have no problem buying the MixVibes Cross DJ to play around with.

I am guessing if I buy the Cross DJ I will be able to use all of the functions without having to map all the buttons and sliders.I tried the Cross DJ Free 3.2.4 and it only shows 4 keyboards. The ION Discover DJ lights up but doesn't really do anything. So I am just looking for a hint 'You need to buy the software to be able to access all the cool stuff. I understand its a risk buying the device used. I am just trying to verify that if I buy the software and My ION Discover DJ functions correctly.

Ion Discover Dj Controller Not Working

LE user Member since 2011 I have spent the past six weeks purchasing an Ion Discover DJ Pro, which I was assured by the seller would work with VDJ 6.07 Pro. It DOES only seem to want to work with the bundled copy of VDJ LE, which is fine, but the annoying and upsetting thing is, that after spending £120 on the mixer, the bundled software disk did NOT come in its original sleeve, and that had the serial on it - even then, it was no doubt registered to someone else. Is it possible in this instance, having legitimately bought the item from a retail outlet, able to provide reciepts and proof of purchase, (according to the sale of goods act, it should be sold in full functioning condition) to recieve a replacement supporting copy of VDJ LE, WITH serial, so I may begin to enjoy this product unhindered? Bear in mind, I busted a gut for six weeks to be able to buy this thing in the first place, and I am unlikely to want to upgrade further if I can't get this to work, since it's been an epic FAIL thus far. I don't think anyone will pay me to DJ for five minutes at a time.

Member since 2010 v6.0.7 is a very old and out of date version of the software and pre-dates the Discover DJ Pro. There have been many changes and improvements to the software since then (See ) - We are now on v7.0.5b. Please register your Pro serial number on the page and then upgrade to the latest version: - The Discover DJ Pro will then work OK. If you have not purchased VirtualDJ Pro then please support the software and its future development by purchasing it: If the VirtualDJ LE CD didn't come in its original sleeve, then you may have been sold an open box (Returned by another customer) or even second hand product.
